Ingredients for Making Meatball and Rice Soup

Cooking Soup with Meatballs and Rice:

Step 1: prepare the minced pork and beef.

Put the pork and ground beef in a small bowl and leave it aside for a while so that it reaches room temperature.

Step 2: prepare the pic.

Pour the rice into a sieve and rinse thoroughly under running water until it becomes transparent. Then we leave the component aside so that the excess liquid from the glass.

Step 3: prepare the potatoes.

Using a vegetable cutter, peel the potatoes and rinse thoroughly under running warm water in order to wash away the remaining soil and other dirt. Now we spread the tubers on a cutting board and use a knife to grind cubes or pieces of arbitrary shape. Finely chopped vegetables in a clean small bowl and fill it with plain tap water so that it completely covers the potatoes. Then the component will not darken when interacting with air.

Step 4: prepare the onions.

Using a knife, peel the onion from the husk and thoroughly rinse it under running water. Next, lay out the component on a cutting board and finely chop into cubes. Pour the chopped onions into a clean plate.

Step 5: prepare the carrots.

With a vegetable cutter, peel the carrots from the skins and rinse well under running water. Now we spread the vegetable on a cutting board and, using a knife, finely chop into cubes or half circles. The crushed component is moved to a free plate.

Step 6: prepare the parsley.

We wash the parsley under running water, shake off excess liquid and put it on a cutting board. Using a knife, finely chop the greens and pour into a clean plate. Such a component is not necessary to add to the soup. I usually sprinkle parsley on a dish before serving so that it smells of summer freshness and does not lose vitamins during cooking.

Step 7: Cooking Meatball and Rice Soup

Pour a small amount of vegetable oil into the pan and put on medium heat. When the contents of the container are well warmed up, pour out chopped onions and carrots here. From time to time, stirring with a wooden spatula, fry the vegetables until a soft golden color. Immediately after that, turn off the hotplate and continue to cook the soup.

Wet clean hands under running water and make meatballs from pork and ground beef (1 part tablespoon - 1 bead) This must be done so that the ground meat does not stick and keeps its shape. Put the finished balls on a cutting board and leave them alone for a while.

Now we pour clean cool water into a large pot and put it on a big fire. To make the liquid boil faster, cover the container with a lid. Immediately after that pour some salt here and mix well with a tablespoon. Then carefully spread the potato slices here and pour the washed rice. When the water boils a second time, add meatballs to the pan, as well as spices such as curry and black pepper. Mix everything carefully with improvised equipment, slightly reduce the heat and cook the soup for 20-25 minutesuntil the meat balls are cooked. Important: time still depends on the size of meatballs. The larger they are, the longer the soup is boiled. And vice versa. After 15 minutes you can get one ball and cut it into two parts. If the meatball inside is soft brown (the main thing is not red or pink), then you can proceed to the final stage of cooking.
At the end, add vegetable frying to the pan, chopped parsley if desired, mix everything thoroughly again and cook soup 5 more minutes. That's it, turn off the burner and can set the table for dinner.

Step 8: serve the soup with meatballs and rice.

Using a scoop, pour hot soup with meatballs and rice into deep plates and serve with slices of bread at the dinner table. The dish turns out to be very tasty, fragrant and satisfying, so they can even treat children.

Recipe Tips:

- For soup, it is best to use homemade minced meat. In this embodiment, you can take only chicken or turkey fillet, veal or a mix of beef and pork;

- For chopping carrots (to speed up the process of making soup), you can use a coarse grater or blender. In the latter option, you need to chop vegetables at medium speed in jerks, so as not to overdo it and not turn the components into pulp;
