Cooking Brussels sprouts in batter:

Step 1: Prepare Brussels Sprouts.

Sort Brussels sprouts, cutting each head of cabbage into two halves. Do not forget to remove damaged and decayed upper leaves. Then put the cabbage in a colander and rinse with warm, almost hot running water to remove any remaining dirt. Lock the colander on weight to allow excess fluid to drain.
Meanwhile, boil the required amount of water in a pan and dip clean cabbage into it. Cook her 8-10 minutes, then fold back into a colander and dispose of excess water.

Step 2: Cook the batter.

It’s best to cook batter while the brussels sprouts are cooked. In addition, cooking it is simple. To begin, break the egg into a bowl and beat it, salting to taste. Then pour the flour and pour dry yeast for the dough, previously brewed in warm water, mix everything properly, gradually pouring water in a thin stream. As a result, after mixing, you should get a liquid, but viscous mass without lumps.

Step 3: Fry Brussels sprouts in batter.

Transfer the boiled Brussels sprouts from the colander directly to the batter and mix so that all the heads of cabbage are covered with dough. In a deep frying pan, properly heat the vegetable oil, it should be so much that it almost covers the cabbage head in the batter entirely. Once the oil is very hot, put the Brussels sprouts in it and fry until golden brown, about 3-5 minutes. Then use a slotted spoon to catch ready-made heads of cabbage and lay them on disposable paper towels so that they absorb excess oil. Proceed to the next batch, repeating all the procedures exactly until you have cooked all the Brussels sprouts.
Once everything is ready, you can immediately start serving your great side dish or appetizer made from Brussels sprouts, fried in batter.

Step 4: Serve Brussels Sprouts.

Serve Brussels sprouts hot, laid out in portions or stacking it all in one big dish. You can also chop this small, like a toy cabbage on long skewers and serve as such a kind of snack. Offer garlic, sour cream or soy sauce to this dish.
Enjoy your meal!

Recipe Tips:

- Sometimes grated soft cheese is added to the batter, this gives the dish a pleasant creamy taste.

- You can use not only fresh Brussels sprouts for cooking, but also frozen.

- You can also not add yeast to the batter, but then it will not be so airy.
