Shrimp Rice


Shrimp Rice Ingredients

Inventory:

Cooking Shrimp Rice:

Step 1: Prepare the garlic.


Before cooking, you need to prepare the garlic, so that in the process you do not lose time on this. To do this, simply separate a few cloves, depending on how spicy and spicy you want to make the dish. Peel the garlic, cut off all the excess and chop it into small pieces. I do not recommend using a press to preserve the juice inside the clove, so it will give the dish all its aroma and taste.

Step 2: Prepare the shrimp.


Peeled shrimp do not need to be defrosted, you can cook them immediately after you remove them from the refrigerator. Just put them in a frying pan and simmer over low heat until all the liquid has evaporated. After this happens, add spices to the seafood, that is, crushed cloves of garlic, a tablespoon of olive oil and a couple of tablespoons of soy sauce. Stir everything and continue stewing the shrimp yet 3-5 minutes. After the cooking time has passed, put the fried shrimp in a flat dish and pat them with disposable paper towels to remove excess oil and sauce.

Step 3: Cook the rice with shrimp.


Now heat the remaining olive oil in a frying pan, then pour the rice in the same place. Fry the cereal over medium heat by stirring with a wooden spatula until it becomes slightly transparent, i.e. approximately 3-5 minutes.
Meanwhile, while the rice is fried, boil in the kettle 2 cups water. Then pour it into fried rice, add salt to taste, cover the pan with a lid, bring the water again to a boil, but with rice. Then remove the lid and cook the rice over medium heat. 10-15 minutes until all the water has evaporated.
Already in the prepared rice, add the shrimps fried in soy sauce, mix the dish thoroughly, check if there is enough salt, and, if ok, then you can start serving the dish.

Step 4: Serve the rice with shrimp.


Serve the finished rice with shrimp hot, immediately after cooking. At the end, you can decorate the dish with fresh herbs or supplement it with canned green peas. Also offer soy sauce or any other dressing to your taste.

Recipe Tips:

- If you do not like soy sauce, you can fry the shrimp without adding it at all, but adding those spices that you like, but do not forget about salt in this case.

- If you did not find peeled shrimp at hand, then you can clean them yourself. But for this, frozen shrimp should first be thawed, just leaving them at room temperature. Then remove the carapace by making an incision using scissors on the back. Also, for the preparation of this dish we don’t need a head, therefore it should also be removed, but nevertheless leave the tail, the prawns look more interesting with them.

- In order to give the finished dish a light creamy aftertaste, instead of olive oil, simply use cream, both when frying shrimps and when cooking rice.
