Preparation of red cabbage with mayonnaise:

Step 1: Prepare the cabbage.

For the preparation of various salads and cabbage dishes, you should always pay special attention to the preparation. Indeed, sluggish leaves and small grains of sand accidentally falling into the dish can greatly ruin its taste. So clean the cabbage well and wash its leaves under a stream of warm running water, and then thoroughly dry them with paper towels. Put clean, dry cabbage leaves on a cutting board and cut into thin strips.

Step 2: Mix the ingredients.

Fold the chopped cabbage leaves in a deep plate, sprinkle them with sugar and salt. Mash, rub everything with your hands, squeezing the juice slightly. As soon as the leaves become slightly softer and a small amount of liquid forms at the bottom of the plate, add lemon juice, vegetable oil and mayonnaise to the salad. Using a tablespoon, mix all the ingredients together.
The salad is almost ready, it remains only to let it insist a little so that it is saturated. To do this, cover the contents of the plate with cling film or a regular lid that is suitable in size and leave at room temperature for 1 hour. After this time, the finished dish needs to be thoroughly mixed again, after which the meal is ready and you can start serving.

Step 3: Serve red cabbage with mayonnaise.

Red cabbage with mayonnaise is perfect both as a salad and as a universal side dish. It is best suited, of course, to meat dishes, for example, it can be served with pork chop or smoked lamb ribs. Also, red cabbage with mayonnaise is suitable for serving as a light snack on the festive table, just decorate it with a slice of fresh apple or a slice of sour lemon. Enjoy a light and healthy dish, which you also prepared without any difficulty.
Enjoy your meal!
