Ingredients for making Tabule salad

Cooking Tabule Salad:
Step 1: Prepare Bulgur.
And the first thing we will start with is the preparation of the bulgur. Bulgur is called wheat groats. So, pour it into a deep plate or bowl, boil the required amount of water, and pour the cereal.
Add about half a teaspoon of salt, mix, cover and leave to steam for about 30 minutes.
Step 2: Cut the greens and tomatoes.
In the meantime, bulgur is steaming, we will prepare the rest of the salad ingredients. We thoroughly rinse all the greens under running water, shake off the liquid, put it on a cutting board and cut it very finely with a sharp knife. Although if you have a blender, you can "entrust" him with this crucial task.
We shred the chopped greens in a salad bowl or a large plate.
We wash the tomatoes under running water and cut them into slices or medium pieces of arbitrary shape on a cutting board, about 1 - 2 cm. After that, we shift to greens.
Step 3: Prepare the lemon.
Our salad needs freshly squeezed lemon juice, so we rinse the lemon under running water, wipe it with a kitchen towel, put it on a cutting board, cut in half and survive the juice in any convenient cup. If you have a special juicer, then of course we use it. Juice needed approximately 60 mlalthough its amount can be adjusted according to your own taste.
Step 4: Refill the salad.
We transfer bulgur into a plate with herbs and tomatoes.
We season with vegetable oil (preferably olive).
Pour lemon juice.
And mix thoroughly. Then add black pepper and salt to taste. Put in the refrigerator for about 1 hour.
Step 5: Serve Tabule Salad.
The salad is served chilled or at room temperature along with flavored bread or pita bread. You can decorate the dish with lettuce and slices of lemon or other citruses. Enjoy a delicious and simple meal!

- Bulgur in a salad can be safely replaced with couscous.
- If the water did not manage to evaporate completely in 30 minutes, then transfer the bulgur to a colander or sieve, thus the cereal will get rid of excess fluid.
- This salad can be supplemented with various vegetables, for example, onions.
- It is not necessary to use cherry tomatoes, ordinary ones will do.
